American Banker is now accepting applications for its Best Banks to Work For 2025 program.

Best Banks to Work For is an annual ranking that recognizes employers of choice within the banking industry. The honorees include banks that tend to prioritize engaged employees, a strong corporate culture, career development and a feeling of belonging.

There is no fee to apply or participate in Best Banks to Work For. To qualify, applicants must have been in business for at least one year and employ at least 15 people in the United States.

The list is created in partnership with the Best Companies Group, which determines rankings based on two assessments. The first is a thorough questionnaire that banks and CEOs must complete that’s focused on employee benefits. The second is an in-depth survey completed by employees that gathers information about their personal experiences working for the bank.

Coverage in 2024 included individual honoree profiles, along with feature stories about hiring and retention trends and employee benefits. It also included separate rankings by bank size. Past coverage, including profiles of all of last year’s 90 honorees, can be found here.

Registration is open through June 20, 2025. A link to the registration page can be found here. Please send any questions to Allissa Kline at [email protected].

More information from the Best Companies Group about this year’s program is available here.
