Another round of stimulus checks is coming. (You might have already gotten one even.)

However, this time, the federal government isn’t involved — and whether or not you qualify depends on where you live and other factors.

Seventeen states have approved their own stimulus boosts — in much smaller amounts than previous federal checks — to help residents deal with rising inflation.

The checks vary depending on state, anywhere from $50 to more than $1,000, and may also have other requirements.

Here is a list of states offering stimulus checks as of August 2022.

California

Californian couples who file jointly can receive a $700 payment and individual taxpayers can receive $350 if they don’t have dependents. Both need to make less than $150,000 annually to qualify.

Eligible households can also receive another $350 if they have qualifying dependents. Payments will be issued between October 2022 and January 2023.

Delaware

Delaware has been sending $300 “relief rebate” payments to all taxpayers who filed 2020 returns. Couples who filed jointly will each receive $300 to help with higher gas and food prices.

Delaware residents who didn’t file returns in 2020 may still be eligible for the rebate. Those instructions are expected to be released in October.
