How this saver uses savings buckets:

Molly Gilpin, a 30-year-old in Austin, Texas, finds saving money empowering. She began prioritizing saving money when she was 24 and now has about $20,000 saved. Opening an HYSA with an online bank allowed her to easily set aside savings and compartmentalize her savings into a travel fund, emergency savings and other buckets. 

“(Buckets) makes it a little bit more exciting to see the money in there,” Gilpin says.
