Starting Nov. 1, 2025, the rewards rate on the Alliant Cashback Visa® Signature Credit Card is dropping to 1.5% cash back on all purchases. That number represents a major devaluation from the card’s previous top rate of 2.5%, which was available to cardholders who met certain requirements.

The card is no longer taking applications, but existing holders can still use it. Previously, those holders could snag the 2.5% cash-back rate on up to $10,000 in spending per billing cycle, by meeting the following conditions:

  • Have an Alliant High-Rate Checking account.

  • Opt in to electronic statements.

  • Have at least one monthly electronic deposit made into the account.

  • Maintain an average daily balance of $1,000 or more.

If you didn’t meet those requirements, you’d earn just 1.5%.

With the change, the Alliant Cashback card no longer belongs to an elite group of no-annual-fee cards that earn more than 2% back on all purchases. If you want that rewards rate, your options are limited to cards like the U.S. Bank Smartly™ Visa Signature® Card or the Robinhood Gold Card. However, both cards have their own requirements for snagging those elevated rates.
