Check out the companies making the biggest moves midday: AeroVironment — The defense contractor rallied 21.6% after reporting better-than-expected results for its fiscal fourth quarter. AeroVironment earned $1.61 per share, excluding certain items, on revenue of $275.1 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expected a profit of $1.38 per share on revenue of $241.5 million. The company’s fiscal 2026 revenue guidance also beat estimates. Bumble — The online dating service surged 25% after disclosing that it plans to slash 30% of its workforce . The reductions will help the company save $40 million annually, with most of the proceeds being reinvested back into the business. Bumble also raised its revenue guidance for the current quarter, to $244 million to $249 million, up from $235 million to $243 million. SiTime — The fabless chipmaker dropped 15.7% after the company filled for a $350 million common stock offering . Worthington Enterprises — The stock gained 2% and hit a 52-week high after the manufacturing company’s fourth-quarter financial results topped expectations. Its adjusted earnings came in at $1.06 per share, versus the 83 cents expected from analysts polled by FactSet. Revenue was $317.9 million, beating the $301.4 million consensus estimate. Yum Brands — Shares of the KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut parent rose more than 3% after JPMorgan upgraded the chain to overweight from neutral. The bank said strong free cash flow generation, among other catalysts, could send the stock higher. Paychex — Shares slid more than 9% after the payroll services company’s latest quarterly results disappointed investors. Paychex posted adjusted earnings of $1.19 per share on revenue of $1.43 billion for its fiscal fourth quarter. That is roughly in line with the $1.19 per share on $1.44 billion in revenue that analysts polled by FactSet had estimated. Operating income for the period, excluding items, came in at $576.7 million, below the consensus estimate of $591.8 million. BlackBerry — The cybersecurity stock popped 12% after first-quarter revenue and profit topped analysts’ estimates. BlackBerry also raised its full-year guidance for revenue and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or EBITDA. BP — Shares of the oil major added more than 1% after The Wall Street Journal reported Shell is in early-stage talks to acquire BP in a deal valued at around $80 billion. Shell later denied the report, telling CNBC that “no talks are taking place.” FedEx — The shipper dropped 3.3% after earnings guidance for the current quarter came in weaker than expected. FedEx forecast adjusted earnings of $3.40 to $4.00 per share, while analysts had penciled in $4.05, according to FactSet. Results for the fiscal fourth quarter just beat expectations. Flagstar — Shares of the New York regional bank fell nearly 4% after the apparent victory of Zohran Mamdani in Tuesday’s Democratic primary election for mayor of New York City. Flagstar has significant exposure to loans from multifamily housing in New York City, and Mamdani campaigned on freezing rent for regulated units. QuantumScape — Shares soared more than 30% after the company, which develops solid-state lithium-metal battery technology, announced the integration of its advanced Cobra separator process into baseline cell production. Cobra is designed to enable faster and more energy-efficient production, QuantumScape said in a press release . — CNBC’s Christina Cheddar-Berk, Jesse Pound, Sean Conlon and Michelle Fox contributed to this report.
