Capital One is sweetening the deal for new holders of its no-annual-fee rewards cards.

Annual travel credits are a common feature on credit cards that charge annual fees. However, it’s rare for no-annual-fee cards, like those above, to offer travel credits, particularly on top of a traditional welcome bonus.

The issuer is also adding some new benefits for eligible cardholders:

  • Expanded rental options through Capital One Travel: All eligible rewards cardholders earn 5x back on hotels, rental cars and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel. Previously, only certain Capital One rewards credit cards earned the elevated rate, and for hotels and rental cars only. Now, cardholders have access to more than 500,000 vacation rental properties available on Capital One Travel.

  • Hertz status upgrade: Holders of the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card – Miles Boost, Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card get a complimentary upgrade to Hertz* Five Star status, the middle tier in the rental company’s membership program. Five Star status provides members with benefits such as a faster pickup process, access to a wider selection of vehicles, and free upgrades when available.

Apart from the aforementioned changes, ongoing rewards and other benefits of the Capital One cards remain the same.

*Upon enrollment, accessible through the Capital One website or mobile app, eligible cardholders will remain at that status level through the duration of the offer. Please note, enrolling through the normal Hertz Gold Plus Rewards enrollment process (e.g. at Hertz.com) will not automatically detect a cardholder as being eligible for the program and cardholders will not be automatically upgraded to the applicable status tier. Additional terms apply.
