The new welcome bonus

SS rating

SS’s ratings are determined by our editorial team. The scoring formula incorporates coverage options, customer experience, customizability, cost and more.

Beginning Feb. 18, 2025, new cardholders can get a bonus worth $1,000 in travel for a limited time:

  • A one-time $250 credit, which can be used to book flights, hotels, vacation rentals and rental cards through Capital One Travel. This credit is valid for a year.

  • 75,000 bonus miles (worth $750 in travel) after spending $4,000 in three months.

The $95-annual-fee Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card last offered this bonus-credit combo from July 16 to Sept. 9, 2024. The card also earns:

  • 5 miles per $1 spent on hotels, vacation rentals, and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

  • 2 miles per $1 on all other purchases.

An additional transfer partner

After a few years apart, JetBlue is rejoining Capital One’s lengthy roster of airline and hotel partners, and it’s the only U.S.-based carrier on that list.

Capital One miles will transfer to JetBlue at a 5:3 ratio. This means that 2,000 Capital One miles will convert to 1,200 TrueBlue points.

SS values TrueBlue points at 1.5 cents each.

Full list of Capital One transfer partners

  • Air France-KLM (1:1 ratio).

  • British Airways (1:1 ratio).

  • Cathay Pacific (1:1 ratio).

  • Singapore Airlines (1:1 ratio).

  • TAP Air Portugal (1:1 ratio).

  • Turkish Airlines (1:1 ratio).
