Check out the companies making the biggest moves in premarket trading: Opendoor Technologies — The meme stock soared 33.6% after the online real estate platform named Shopify executive Kaz Nejatian as its next CEO . Former chief executive Carrie Wheeler resigned last month under pressure from investors. Oxford Industries — The Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer parent jumped 18.3% after its second-quarter adjusted earnings per share topped expectations. Oxford said it now anticipates less of an effect from tariffs this year than previously expected. Klarna — The stock slid 1% in premarket trading, a day after the fintech company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The buy now, pay later platform said it raised $1.37 billion in its public market debut, with shares soaring 14% on Wednesday. Alibaba — U.S.-listed shares of the Chinese e-commerce company moved 2.6% higher following Alibaba’s plan to offer $3.2 billion in zero coupon convertible senior notes maturing in 2032. The company said the bulk of the proceeds will fund the strengthening of its cloud infrastructure and international operations. Oracle — The cloud giant added nearly 2% following its gangbuster day on Wednesday . Shares rallied nearly 36%, its best day since 1992 after Oracle’s earnings report and artificial intelligence projections. It now has a $922 billion market cap. Kroger — The grocery chain gained 1.8% after reporting mixed financial results. Second-quarter adjusted earnings came in at $1.04 per share, topping the 99 cents expected from analysts polled by LSEG. Its revenue of $33.94 billion came in below the $34.10 billion consensus estimate. Celsius Holdings — The energy drink stock popped 3% following Goldman Sachs’ initiation at buy . Goldman said Celsius has posted strong growth and is in a quickly growing category. Chewy — The online pet retailer added 1.2%, after its 16% drop on Wednesday. Chewy reported a steep year-over-year drop in earnings, but Deutsche Bank upgraded the stock Thursday. The firm said the company continues to drive meaningful industry share gains and sees an acceleration in revenue growth in 2026. Thermo Fisher Scientific — Shares of the life sciences research company rose 1.2% after an upgrade at Barclays to overweight from equal weight. The firm said absolute and relative valuation has reached more attractive levels. Synopsys — Shares gained nearly 5%, a day after losing 35% on the back of its earnings report. The semiconductor tool supplier earned $3.39 per share on revenue of $1.74 billion, falling short of the LSEG consensus estimate of $3.74 per share on $1.77 billion in revenue. UPS , FedEx — Shares of UPS and FedEx fell 2% and 1%, respectively, after Bank of America downgraded the two shipping companies on President Donald Trump ending de minimis shipping exemption. — CNBC’s Alex Harring, Liz Napolitano and Sarah Min contributed reporting.
