Over the past few months, there’ve been a series of studies analyzing ZIP codes in terms of their home values, going state by state to identify the most expensive ones. Through these analyses of monthly home values, as well as financial data from the Census Bureau, these studies have identified the most expensive ZIP codes in various New England states, such as Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, among others. Now, it’s time to take on New Hampshire and its most expensive ZIP codes.

So, read on to find out the most expensive ZIP codes in New Hampshire in 2025, relying on data from Zillow’s home value index and the Census Bureau.

The Most Expensive ZIP Codes in New Hampshire

Zillow’s home value index tracks monthly home values for all types of homes on a monthly basis. For New Hampshire, as of March 2025, it tracks 231 ZIP codes. Home values across most states’ ZIP codes have seen historic growth since the pandemic hit in 2020. But in New Hampshire, the home value appreciation over the last five years is particularly huge.

As part of this study, the analysis took into consideration the latest monthly home values Zillow has — March 2025 — as well as the average of 12 months of median home values from April 2024 to March 2025, in order to gain a fuller picture. Below are the 15 most expensive ZIP codes in New Hampshire.

The Top 5 Most Expensive ZIP Codes in New Hampshire

The No. 1 most expensive ZIP code in New Hampshire is 03871, which is centered on Rye Beach, an affluent town by the ocean, south of Portsmouth. This is a tiny ZIP code, with not that many houses. But the ones that are there are beautiful and expensive. The average household income here is $324,681. Just under 50% of households in 03871 earn incomes of $200,000 or more a year. The median home value as of March 2025 is almost $2.720 million, which up 4.4% year over year.

If you take the road east out of Portsmouth, across Shapleigh and Goat Islands, you’ll end up in the second most expensive ZIP code — 03854 — which covers New Castle Island. This is a picturesque spot at the mouth of the Piscataqua River, which forms the border with Maine. Just under half of all households earn $200,000 or more per year. The median household income is $193,558, while the average household income is $338,436. The home value growth in ZIP code 03854 is incredible. From a median home value of $1.220 million in March 2020, the median rose by 85.5% to reach $2.265 million in March 2025.

The No. 3 most expensive ZIP code in New Hampshire is 03870. This ZIP code covers a long swathe of coast from Rye Beach in the south to the Piscataqua River in the north, effectively connecting the No. 1 and No. 2 most expensive ZIP codes. The median household income is $127,772 and an average household income of $205,034. Home values grew immensely in 03870 as well. Back in March 2020, the median home value was $700,237. It then rocketed by 75.4%, reaching over $1.228 million in March 2025.

The fourth most expensive ZIP code in New Hampshire is east of Hanover, near the border with Vermont. ZIP code 03750 is centered on Etna and covers a sprawling rural area, dotted with a number of very expensive, big homes. More than half of households here earn $200,000 or more per year. The median household income is $218,750, while the average household income is $241,195. Home values appreciated substantially. From a median of $571,396 in March 2025, home values soared by 72.6%, with the latest median reaching nearly $986,000.

The fifth most expensive ZIP code in New Hampshire is 03755, and it surrounds the fourth most expensive, taking up a significant portion of land. This ZIP code is centered on Hanover, but stretches far to the east of that city. Home value growth here was big, though not as big as in the first four of the top five most expensive ZIP codes. From $550,022 in March 2020, the median home value appreciated by 65.1%, coming in just shy of $908,000 in March 2025.
